1990 v 1997 yamaha 90hp

Title says it all...

I am pretty sure I am going to buy 007's 90hp yammie that is a 1997. I need twins and have found other yammie 90s but are different years 1990-1999. They all pretty much look the same but was wondering if there is a difference in the years?
