Galveston Harbor 8-7-10

Took the wife and kids out for an evening run yesterday. We started in the harbor and wound up around the causeway a little after dark. Everywhere we went the water was a soupy 89.5 degrees. Bait was live and dead shrimp. My wife caught one nice speck and several sand trout and my kids were content with countless hard heads and croaker. I played deck hand and didn't fish. Here's a few sunset pics and one of my 5 year old showing off a gafftop that's not much bigger than his hook..

Great yob on gettin' the whole family into the fishin'. Guess what-if you ever have time to fish when you have the family on board, you aint doin' something right!! Maybe one of these days when they are able to bait the hooks & take the fish off, but until then, you're up Cap'n.
