Chocolate 9/3

With my wife out of town and my son attending a night class, I decided to make a late afternoon/early evening run into the Chocolate. Launched from Lute's and headed to the mouth of the bayou. I ventured out past the 2004 bridge to the fist set of bouys (marker 40) and drifted the right side of the channel towards the bridge. No takers. Then I headed to the other side of the bridge and drifted the left side of the channel to the first cut on the left. No takers. Then I decided to head up bayou to the mouth of Pleasant Bayou where I caught some legal trout this past Sunday. The trout were there, but none were legal. I still had a great time catching specks and enjoying a few iced down Bud Lights.

My buddy stayed in the bayou and he ends up with 4 nice trout and released and number of fish that were marginal...

All on live bait ...yesterday
