  • sunday morning

The weather was nice but hot. I got out there early and fished near the intracoastal. I saw several boats fishing around the big bag barriers and it was an outgoing tide so the flounder must be around there by now. I plugged a skitter walk along the intracoastal drop offs and hooked a few good trout. They were just taking the plug straight down. Tons of finger mullet in large pods. Caught a few reds sight casting along the bank on soft plastic but all the trout on the skitter walk, pink. Went over to the east side of chocolate and as I was driving by the oil platform I saw some shrimp jumping out of the water so I stopped and made one cast with the skitter walk and bam, fat trout. Really got hot and still so called it a day in by 11 am. Water looked great every where.

Nice report, my neighbor killed the red in Chocolate on Sunday. They caught two limits and were throwing back 24"-27" reds.
