Sorry for the late notice, but the surf has been on.
Last week on Wed. afternoon produced limits of trout for me and my buddy fishing nervous finger mullet schools with plastics. Also got a couple bonus slot reds.
Yesterday afternoon I was headed to W. Bay but had to stop and fish when I saw bait busting out ~100 yards. Found a large school of spanish mackerel attacking shad quite viciously. Donated 3 jigs before I drove back for my wire leaders and spoons. Came back and had some trouble finding them at first (turns out they were in the same area) but got 11 by sundown. Crazy stuff, they were going airborn, slashing the water all over, and knocking baitfish 3' into the air.
Gonna try to see if I can find some topwater trout here in a minute.
I need to find the computer cable for my camera!
