Day 4 tryin to catch a Red bull

Went to 53rd street jetty today around 4 and set up shop. MAN O MAN do I wish someone magically pulled up in a boat bc the pelicans/gulls were annihilating bait about 300 yards off the end of the jetty ALLLLL afternoon. Wave after wave after wave of bait balls 200 yrds x 200 yrds kept passing me by.

True to form, the bait balls and birds miraculously missed me and seemed to settle to the next jetty to the West, as in, so close to the end of the pier that you could cast OVER the action.

Yeah I see em all the time going out there. It's become my favorite place to fish, because I've caught flounder, specks, and reds on that exact jetty, plus I only live a couple blocks away, so it's convenient.
