Small flies do catch fish!
I spent a couple of hours with a friend last night out on his dock under the light playing with my new TFO "BVK" rod. The BVK is already by far my favorite - it is very light and has so much feel to it.
The fish were there, so we experimented - trying many fly patterns. After trying spoons, surf candies, and some clouser variations, I wanted to try a little fly that I tied the other day when I was working with the Clear Cure Goo. This little fly is blonde wig hair, a little bit of pearl Wing 'n Flash and medium bead chain eyes on a #8 34007.
It caught the most and largest fish of the night.
This one is a 20-incher.
