Well i went back today, got there early. I was down in the bay just after sunup around bouy # 10. I wasent fishin for 15 min and here come the first jackhole of the day. The burnt orange bevo boat decides to cut a 100 yds in front of me and go 50 yds to the east of me, never mind the 500 yds of water behind me he could use to get over to the narrows area.
Well guess what... he ran smack dab into the end of long reef. It didnt really matter anyways i could not buy a bite early...didnt get my first bite till around 9am and it was a dink trout. Made several drifts mostly along the channel/spoil bank drop offs with no luck at all. About 10 the wind started to pick up,i continue to fight the wind and go to a area ive been catchin keepers at for a couple weeks. Long story short, over the next 3 hours i catch 9 keeper trout and a keeper flounder with about the same number of throw backs and 3 HUGE sandies. It was a grind fighting the wind and the only reason i quit 1 short of a limit was cause my TM batteries died.
The pics are for Mudskipper.
The folunders belly was so big i just had to see what was in it.
