  • Seabrook 3/1/09

Water - 3"-6" visibility Greenish Brown
    Water Temp - 52
    Wind - N 20 - 25
Level - Lower than Grannies Boobs
    Skies - Sunny
Temp - Colder than You Know What, 35 Deg up to 55 at noon
    Pressure - 31 & Rising

Against my better judgment, Jeremy and I headed out this morning to fish Seabrook with the absolute worst possible conditions. Jeremy said he was going no matter what, so I went because I promised I would take him. Left the ramp at about 6:30 and fished the channels wherever we could get out of the wind. I figured if we could catch one fish I would be happy.

    First spot....Nada
    Second spot....Nada
    Third spot....Nada
    Fourth Spot....Nada
Fifth spot, I hook up with a fish and thought it was a nice little trout. I get her beside the boat and see that it is a big trout. Got her in the boat and was amazed at how big she was for giving no fight. I guess the cold had her slowed way down. She was 24" & 5lbs even
    Sixth spot....Nada
    Seventh spot....Nada
Off the water at 12:30 with one trout and a sunburned face.
It warmed up quite a bit after about 10:00am to where at least it was not uncomfortable to be out there. I caught my one fish and she was a pig, so I was happy. Jeremy on the other hand, was not happy to leave. I'm glad he talked me into going!

Nice job, we didnt end up with anything today in west bay/chocolate bayou! A fat girl like that always makes up for bad weather conditions.

Wow I would have traded my striper for that fish. Nice!
It's nice when you get at least one good fish, turns a busted trip into one that seems more worthwhile

                        GOD BLESS AND GIG'EM!

I hope I catch a 10 lb trout before I catch a flesh eating bacteria.
