As for friday, my dad and i had limited success. we went everywhere but i think the fish knew that front was gonna role in early saturday. We hit up Dana's (twice), the state park, Jumbile, East maggie's, Karanchua lake, & green's Lake.
4 reds, one nice 4lb trout, and a spotted pancake. all were caught on Gulp! jerk shad. i love that stuff. i use it as my fish finder and then make a switch to a corky or topwater once i have a few located.
the only coves that had ample bait were Dana's, Karanchua and Green's.
One interesting side note, dad and i drifted this GIANT flock of gulls. no fish, no shrimp popping. all we saw were tiny red sand eels in their beaks. couldn't get a bite despite matching the hatch... strange...
any body wet lines this weekend? we'll be back at it again on friday.
