Today I had guy who purchased my donated trip San Jacinto CCA Annual banquet. We fished a half day drifting out of the boat in 2-8 ft of water. Started out deep over scatted shell were I had found the Reds on Monday and only was able to find 1 nice Red and a few Trout. Ran up in the marsh to check a few places just water was too low to drift. Decided to run to a gut near a shallow flat. Started drifting the gut and was able to pick up 1 red and 1 nice Trout about 22'' After that we decided we need to run and gun try to get on a good bite just never really found them. Ended up finding the red again just 1/2 mile west from Monday. Ended the day catching a few more reds and a couple Trout.
Over all was a slow day, but had some action to keep us going. Used 1/8 oz lead heads Red Shad and Pink and Yellow tipped Big Nasty’s.
