We are seeing the same kind of fish floating and gasping for air in the Colorado River in Matagorda. The ones I have seen do not have a spot. They look like Black Saltys, just a guess. If the ones you are seeing have a black spot they arfe probably shad.

Yep, I saw him with his cell taking pictures. It was a wierd sight. My first thought from far away was " Holy $%$# those are biggest Nutrea rats i ever seen!!"
