Was talking with a friend after I had finished up loading my new hog loads for my 45-70 and he asked just how big the 45-70 was so I took a picture and sent it to him. His reply was "It's Huge"......LOL
Here is the picture I sent him. It has a 357 Mag for him to compare to as he has a 357. Also I've included the target I shot with the hog load to show why I picked them. I did put a scope on my Marlin 1895 Cowboy for the testing and the group was shot a 100 yards. As you can see they shot about 6" higher than the light loads I used to sight in the rifle. I've got one more range session to fine tune the scope then it is off to test them on the big hog I have in picture #3.
