Attached is a photograph of my close personal friend (now she is if she wasn't before!) and her Monster Speckled Trout caught two daysago. She offices next to mine - maybe some luck will rub off. She fishes in Galveston often with her Dad and boyfriend. Her name is Courtney. Yes her name starts with "C" like "cute," just as she is.
This past week-end, she caught a 31½ inch / 8½ lb trout under a popping cork withlive shrimp in WEST BAY on Saturday, March 17, 2012 around noon under clearskies!!! She is so funny – she doesn’t know what part of the bay, whatthe tide was doing, any of the fishing conditions, etc. She just wasfishing having a good time – gotta love it! She always enters the TexasCCA STAR Tournament – too bad it hasn’t started yet in 2012 or she would havewon a Ford Truck and new Bay Boat I have no doubt!
Trophyfish of a lifetime out of West Bay! I have never heard of a trout of thatlength taken in West Bay in a long, long time (Baffin yes, maybe even in East Bay – but not in West Bay). Gives us all hope but also makes us greenwith envy!
