Answer me this then......If voting is a "right", what about the "poll tax" that this country use to have; never shouldve been abolished; but it was by influence of Northern States and liberal judges and candy *** politicians.
What a grand idea the poll tax was. You had to PAY to vote. You had to have a vested interest in order to even have any interest in voting. What a diff that would make now.

Wonder if you could pay it with a Lonestar card?
Don't be a Nancy!
If it smells like fish....you know I've been there!
The pole tax (snicker) was abolished by Constitutional amendment. They weren't being applied fairly, just like the reading tests. If you really want to get into it, Social Security is also Unconstitutional, as are SS cards. FDR was a socialist too. Social Security has become something it was never intended to be. It was supposed to be a safety net, but now people depend on it to catch everyone.
Constitutionally, the states must issue ID cards and the Federal govt. cannot.
I think that though voting is indeed a right for citizens, that's something you surrender when you receive welfare. You get off the dole, you get the franchise back. If we continue as we have been, the conflict of interest will sink us, just as it has been doing. The pumps are overwhelmed and too many people are too lazy to pick up a bucket these days.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."
It was abolsihed by LBJ's administration....They werent being applied fairly by whos definition of fair? Maybe on the interenet or by a bunch of pointy head sudo intellectuals like Kenny (George Wallace comment) but Nobody in the South thats for sure. But then again, LBJ's motto was always "tell them what they want to hear"....much like Robalo at a strip club and hes always had good luck....so..............there you have it!
and i agree with alot of what you say sandy. but why does this country all of a sudden think it has the answers that are reverse on certain issues that have been the norm for about....oh 5000 years or so.
The Pole Tax at Centerfolds depends on whether you go upstairs to the "special room" or stay in the General Area. Personally, the general area has shown about the same suckcess ratio as the upstairs-ya just gotta pick the right "candidate".
Note:
In the general area however, you are more likely to be acosted by the Pole Tax Collector-the Manager-and asked to leave.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
