San Luis pass bay side wade

Going to wade at the pass (bay side) any tips??

Don't get over waist deep if the current is really moving . If it's ripping I think fish are more likely to be at the end of a gut for ambush purposes or the down current side of a area that juts out into the gut , hump in the gut .

Thanks! Should I use lures or bait down there?

Whatever you prefer . You'll catch more trash fish with bait . I only use artificials . I like to sling my plug for greater distance then when a cork is attached . I like working plugs . They are effective for me .
