Clear lake fishing

Me and Kenny have been kicking around an Idea of doing some winter trout fishing back in clear lake. Does anyone have any experience with this area? Ive gotten mixed reports, some say there are some really big trout to be had back behind the hilton by the reserve, some say don't waste your time. What is ya'lls take here. I myself have never bothered to fish it. but im curious.

I have seen some take across from bubba gumps , seen some taken by the fuel station up the creek from there, never seen anyone catch fish out on the main lake, but that doesnt mean there is not any. I caught a few dink trout around the corner marker where channel takes 90 right turn.
