Fishing was great unfortunately my phone was not charged but the water temp was around 77 with 10-15 mph winds from the NNE I used a down south lure plum colored with the chartreuse tail caught two rat reds and one slot red followed by one undersized flounder
Well, was you in a wet suit? Was you in a slicker suit? Rained all day here in Angleton. Not a refreshing Summer rain; the kind you used to run out and play in when you were a kid, but a moderately chilly, miserable downpour. My rain gauge, which was an ice chest I left for nature to rinse out, filled up all the way to the top. Cheers to anyone who was mad enough at them to get out there today.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."
I got out today between 11:30a and 2p. And I sucked. Hard east wind and a steady rain. Foul hooked a large mullet that made my heart skip a beat. Lost a small red at the boat. That was it.
