Heading down to do some yakin in carancahua Cove this weekend just wondering if y'all had any tips on bait/lures and where in the Cove to go. And of coarse I'll do a report at the end of the day. Thanks

Start in the back of the cove on an incoming tide and fish your way out. You can never go wrong with saltwater assasins in plumtreuse or chicken-on-chain.

If you launch in GISP just put in at Butterow bayou and fish your way out from there, threw the cut, etc. Cast and repeat.

The cove still has dredge pipes and drag lines working in it. I'd pick another cove. If you do go to Caranchua take a three-legged stool and give it to the dredge operator, cause they've been milkin' that job for six months!

Ah man , don't fret . Relax and enjoy exploring a new place . Fish points on incoming or outgoing tides , in close on rising tide , geotube cuts on outgoing . The marsh grass for flounder and reds . Look for swirls , bait jumping . Clearer water use lighter colored baits , darker colored water dark baits . Fish slow , fish fast , high and low and see what works . You will have a great day and might even catch a fish ! If you pay attention you will learn something on every trip and that is worth going .

If carancahua Cove doesn't work out y'all think jumbile Cove will produce (or any where else)
