  • 2010 Tails & Tunes Fishing Tournament

The 2010 Tails & Tunes Fishing Tournament and Concert is underway! Last year there were nearly 150 teams, and we were able to distribute over $31,000 in prize money to the tournament winners, and proudly hand over a $10,000 donation to our primary beneficiary, Warriors Weekend. Warriors Weekend is a group of volunteers that bring over 100 active duty American soldiers that have been wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq to Port O'Connor, Texas for a weekend of relaxation and reprieve from their daily rehabilitation. The efforts of Tails & Tunes is designed to offset a portion of the operating expenses incurred for that event. Please visit their website at www.warriorsweekend.org for more information.

Mark your calendar for the first weekend in May. It's only going to get bigger and better!

I've heard nothing but good things, but POC is a loooong drive.

                  Weekend Warriors

Come on guys and "buck up"!!!!! Do you think these military men turned us down????? A 2 hr. drive vs putting your life on the line.......shame on you for even thinking about it that way!!!!!!! I will be there volunteering AGAIN and I would think that the FWE Anglers would be PROUD to support such a great cause!!!!!!!!! And KUDOS to those who have and still do!!!!!!!!!

I'm planning on fishing this one. It's for a good cause and how can you go wrong with good music and cold beer?
