I've hauled in tons of fish with baitcasters, lately I've prefered the 'finesse' of a fly rod. It's the same reason people use bows instead of guns for deer hunting, it adds a degree of difficulty.

So, has anyone got any ideas on what flies I should use to fish the flats during the Christmas break. I understand that fishing is tough that time of year, but can be very rewarding when you do hook up. Just looking for something to stretch my line, not interesting in keeping or eating.
