  • San Luis Pass Closed?

Is access to San Luis Pass closed? We are planning to fish there next week but we are hearing that the access is closed and patrols are telling people to leave.

It’s true there are some signs restricting vehicular access.

JT can you not cross the bridge at all - or is this just access to the beach part? Can't imagine them closing the highway.
        Shut up and FISH!!

Yes you can drive on 3005. They restricted vehicles on the beach although a few folks were still taking their mules on it 😎

I had some people tell me the GPD were parked under the bridge turning people back by the toll booth where Robalos buddies work/sleep.

And now we’re under stay at home orders. Unless of course you need groceries, booze, take out foods from restaurants etc.

I heard Belgium issued orders that restricted indoor sexual activity by 3 or more people. Now that’s getting serious.

            LOL...

It also appears outdoor activities is vague. Go fishing by yourself!

Do you know if there are there any other locations for fishing where public access is allowed?

Have you checked the beach parks? Maybe the marinas in the area? Park and walk in somewhere?

My 2 cents/experience....Fish by yourself and walk in...my all time favorite way to fish and I own a boat. Park where you won't get towed, keep the inside of your truck clean nothing of value visible (i wade with my phone and ignition key), maintain a low profile, leave the area you park nicer than it was when you got there(pick up trash don't make it), take a good light if your coming in or wading after dark (4 strokes are really quite and can sneak up on you quick, and a trout or red with a top water hanging off the side of its head is fun in the dark), and pack a compass (fog can make a shoreline 100 yds away disappear in daylight). Explore, still decent spots to walk in on Bolivar, Galveston and Brazoria county, but they are slowly disappearing with development. You don't need a 4x4...wet sand packs and is easy to drive on dry sand can stick both...if you trench up the marsh getting to the bay we will all end up with one less access point to walk in...good luck.

It is very vague Coe. I’m still not sure what it means and neither does anybody else. All I know is that the marina business has fallen at about the same pace as the Dow since last Tuesday and if the Dems and the ugly *** witch Pelosi would pull their heads out of their *** it would help.

Actually I’m for fining and breaking up large gatherings on the beach full time after this is over.

And if Robalo were around, maybe he could help explain why democrats/media are traitors and the vast majority of democratic women are so dammm ugly.

They are not real Democrats. They are Socialists/Communists now. The Democratic party has left the ideals of democracy behind.

                          It hasn't closed since 1865.

Sorry, history teacher had to make a history joke. No idea what Galveston Co. is doing. Beaches in Brazoria are open, but not to vehicles yet as far as I know. Plenty of people are fishing from boats in the Pass though.

KOA was busy this morning. Saw Coachlaw's boat tied up but no coach around.
