I think this was last Sunday, and after a few days of struggling, I decided to switch gears. We fished top waters, in some different water. Tides just hadn't been right for sight fishing.
We caught redfish all morning on tops, with a few trout mixed in. Never took of the top waters all morning. My kind of day! If we can't be successful sight casting then they need to eat on the surface.
We didn't have any giants but it was fun watching two guys who had never caught a red in top catching them all morning. Plenty of solid 4-5 pound reds and more blow ups than we could count.
