I recently moved to Galveston in January for school and just started summer break so I finally have some free time. Put in my first "real" effort at landing a bull redfish today. Yesterday my buddy dave landed a beast redfish and a big jack on east beach. The plan was to hit the same area on east beach but he said there was way to much seaweed out there so I took a quick drive from my place to an area near the west end and it was clear of seaweed. We had 4 surfrods set up and chunks of mullet for bait. After about 45 mins one of the rods goes off. After a solid Battle I was able to get my first redfish. Not sure I'll be able to get another one this big, man am I stoked!
