  • Mint Julep

Since we have the Kentucky Derby coming up this weekend, here is my Mint Julep recipe.

    2-1/2oz Bourbon
    2 sugar cubes
    3-4 sprigs mint leaves

Add sugar cubes and mint leaves in Double old fashion glass and muddle.
Add bourbon and fill glass with shaved ice.
    Stir until glass is frosty
Serve with a straw and more mint leaves for garnish.

    Alternative that is better-
add 2-1/2oz bourbon to glass, fill with ice.
put a sprig of mint on the other side of the room, enjoy

I think they are nasty . The alternative recipe is preferred . Save the mint for your ice tea .

Lol! It's ok. I'm a compendium of useless information. I can even identify which fork Is for sardines and which one is for pickles.
