A quick report from yesterday, west bay, south shore line. Had a little work to do on my buddy's boat so my plan was to fish the afternoon oncoming tide. i got the maintenance done and headed out late morning and long story short the tide never really came in. Fishing was slow, managed 4 keeper trout with 3 of them in 18-20 inch range
and 2 just short reds. And only a few dink trout. It was cloudy and overcast all day, water was in good shape and 65 degrees. Soft plastics were the bait of choice and i did notice 1 thing about all the keeper trout, they all "ate" the bait. you could not see any of the plastic or jig, just the line coming out of the mouths.
tight lines to all,
