  • SPI Memorial Day weekend

This weekend was a family trip. We were just going to hang out and relax, but I set aside one day to take my 4 yr old son fishing, and I sure am glad I did. He had the time of his life. I think I have created a monster...haha.

As soon as he woke up Saturday morning he was fired up and putting his fishing shirt on and grabbing his pole. He has caught a few fish on shrimp under the lights at night, but this was his first real bay fishing trip going out in the morning with me on the boat. We drifted/trolled an area and caught some decent trout. I caught a couple but he caught most of them on a soft plastic under a popping cork.

Just thought id share some pics. We drove home yesterday and every single bridge or creek or stream we drove over he was yelling to stop cause he wanted to go fish under that bridge. lol. Good times for sure

            Way to Go !

He will remember this for the rest of his life.

I took my nephew fishing when he was four and we caught about 18 flounder in the spring run, he's now 19 and still to this day remembers that trip.

            Good on you Dad !
