hiked north jetty

started the morning looking for a new cast net at academy and walmart. neither one of them carry cast nets with lead! i dont get it. they sell lead weights and jigs ect. but not lead cast nets?...stupid. found a good one at a bait shop and made it out to the jetty. went out 3/4 of the way to the cut and used live mullet, 8". used my 2 trout rods and got one hit for three hours of fishin. it was fun, glad i went.

Did you see the guys with the "pet" pelican just on the concrete walkway? I walked past them, did a double take, and realized that only three out of four of the guys in the huddle talking were human. Dang thing was four feet tall and just standing there like it was one of the boys. I was so baffled and laughing so hard that I didn't even think to take a picture.
