7/22: Friday night at the bait camp

I took two of the boys down to the bait camp Friday afternoon. We launched the boat at Louis' at 4:30p. We drifted a number of places in Jones with hop-o-matics under a popping cork. We had a good deal of success. 8 species and about 5 keepers, 2 trout and 3 reds. It got going on almost every cast about 7:15p.

We motored back in about dark, cleaned the fish, cleaned the boat and then hit Whataburger. Life is good.

Lots of jug trout. That's ok. I needed to fill my jugs for a church fish fry next weekend.

All the pipes that were at the mouth of the DC are gone. I didn't go out of Jones so I don't know what there is out in the ICW.
