Thursday morning had ice cream conditions for fishing, light east wind, partly cloudy and a out going tide. The first few hours were slow, only one keeper with about six dinks, throwing top-waters and plastics. Around 10:15, it turned on for me, which coincided with the major feeding time. By 11:30 I caught another 8-10 trout, but just kept five and a couple of small reds on red shad with a 1/16" jig head. Trout were solid and biggest was a little over 24".
I just started using the Team Lew's Lite reel and so far I'm impressed with it, very smooth, cast as long as I want and has a good drag system. We'll see how long it holds up in the salt.
