In my opinion, I'm not big on fish being "picky" when it comes to lure selection. In fact, I still firmly believe that we should focus on finding actively feeding fish instead of "what lure to throw" or "what color to throw." Color is a whole other can of worms.
However, I simply can't dismiss the fact that sometimes fish are dialed into certain lures. Whether they fall just right in the current or that action when it swims is perfect, you will have days that fish won't hit anything except that one lure.
In this case, it was the Mirrolure Mirrodine XL. After getting a few on top early, we noticed there was plenty of trout in the area due to slicks and such but we couldn't get them to bite. I cycled through my box and came to the Mirrodine XL. I guess I'll let the video show you the results.
