Went free diving for the first time last week and realize my gun is to big for me. My friend suggested is smaller one that did the trick just fine. Anyone interested in a JBL XHD Gulf Magnum let me know (PM me). Never been used.............

I don't know how big of a guy you are but the gulf mag isn't a really big gun. Not saying you're wrong, but you may want to give it a few more tries before you downsize. I use a MT4, which is longer and a heck of a lot heavier (not ideal, haha).
A lot of it is getting used to handling them underwater. Mostly keeping the gun streamlined. For example, hold the gun by the muzzle when you descend with your arm extended and below your head. The gun will tuck in right next to your body. While you are swimming around hunting, hold it under your body, not extended out. Only point the gun out right before you shoot it.
Good luck either way!

I thought my Gulf Magnum XHD was too big when I first bought it. After using it I am VERY glad I went with that gun. What size shaft is currently on the gun? Does it have slip tip? I'd buy another one I have been very impressed with that gun.
Be sure to get you a loading pad (flip flop can work too). Yan & I got one makes loading the gun 20+ times a little easier on your chest. We are West End Anglers, a saltwater tribe!

That E75 is gonna be harder to load than the JBL guns. Pretty much have to chest load it. The sharkfins in the shaft where the bands go in are right at the end of the gun. The JBL has an extra butt extension on the end that isn't needed, but is there for loading.
