    it's really dependent on the fly and the target. think about the animal that you are trying to represent and how it moves and that will servce as your guide. Usually slower works better as most flies are good representation of prey species, and very bouyant.

    Go buy a gummy minnow I love them I have caught all 3 of my largest trout using that lure when the trout get thick in the canals its a lot of fun watching them come out of the water after it

    CLOUSER MINNOW, will catch anything that swims. I have tied flies for over 15 years now, commercially for a few years. Clouser is a great starting point, especially in G Bay. When youmove to grass flats, I would say Bend Back patterns, and SeaDucers make great choices.

    i opened up the old fly box and had 2 clousers will throw um next time
