    Cheers2 Help a RGV Newbie

    Hello!

I recently relocated to the Rio Grande Valley and have visited SPI a couple times already, but only once to fish. Chartered a trip in the bay but got skunked. I can't believe how clear the bay water is compared to when I was surf fishing and wading up near Galveston/Surfside Beach.

Not asking anyone to give up their honey holes, but can anyone point me to places around SPI, Port Isabel, Laguna Vista, etc. that I could wet a line without much hassel? Or even any spots more inland?

I'm based out of Harlingen by myself and with no boat. Could use advice on tackle as well if you share a spot.

Thanks for any tips and or tricks you can give.

There was a member called Swells on the site that I think is from that area. He used to post regularly, but hasn't in a while. I'd suggest going to the members list and pm him. He seemed knowledgeable and may have your answers.

I tried via PM to contact swells, but no answer.

Anyone else willing to lend a hand?

Sorry Z, I don't know anything about that area.
Or any other areas for that matter! Lol
