    Default Help identify this fish

    Saw schools of these swimming 'round in Caney Creek. Water seemed real fresh but there were tons of these little dudes and they attracted a crowd of unidentified predators that went to town on them. Fish were blowing up everywhere!

    Thanks! It does not look like the long bodied mud minnows I have used, but it seems that it's related. Look up "sheepshead minnow" - it's a killifish just like our mud minnows. I stumbled across it when I looked up mud minnow to make sure I was picturing the right thing. Thanks for pointing me that way!
