Default Bird Island Basin Upper Laguna Madre

A buddy and I loaded up our Cuda HDs and headed to PINS to dry camp and fish the Bird Island Basin last weekend. Caught about 50 trout each drifting grass flats in 4' of water. No reds which surprised us, and the trout were all smallish, but we caught limits and had a blast. Paddled over to the King Ranch Shoreline and caught fish there, then had a brutal 2 hour paddle into a 20 mph headwind back to camp. Sorry no fish pics but here is me on the Laguna on Friday evening.
