I get asked this from time to time....and figured since this forum is for Chocolate you need directions to the main marina up the Bayou
"LUTES Marine"
This is a good access point if you dont want to rip all the way to the Island and head north
And most would not believe how much closer it is to come down the bayou rather than over West Bay.
Tha bayou is also good when the wind is blowing and your looking for protected water.
From Alvin or even Pearland- On 35 (which runs north and south)
Take 35 South, just outside of the s-side of Alvin to County Road 192
You will see a Dimond Shamrock and a Yellow Blinking Light
Go Left (South) at the yellow light on 192
Go Straight Through Liverpool ( GO SLOW, LIVERPOOL POLICE, aka Baney Fife, will get you )
You will go over a set of rail road crossings
keep going
C.R. 192 turns into C.R. 203 which later turns into Liverpool Hoskins Road
The road will curve left and right a few times
KEEP GOING
Liverpool Hoskins Road eventually will come to a hard turn to the right
eventhough the maps show you can also go left, but that is a private road
(this is a unnamed road)
Followed by a forced left, followed by a S-turn
Look for the BLUE Aluminum Boat Storage Units on Left
There You will find
Lutes Marine
The other way is from 2004
On the west side of the big "2004" bridge is a road called Hoskins Mound rd. you might see a sign pointing towards "Liverpool"
from the 2004 birdge going west, its about 3-5 miles or so down....I believe 3 miles
You go right (north) on hoskins mound rd. (to Liverpool)
After a few S- turns and about a 5 mile trip the road takes a hard right
You then take a hard left @ Horse-shoebend, after you see some houses look for the Aluminum Boat Stalls on the right.
That is Lutes Marine
