Hooked Friend

Howdy!

I had a buddy of mine who is an avid lake fisherman. He's never fished the ocean so I decided to introduce him to the action around Galveston. On Saturday we went out and fished around the channel in the morning. We ended up with 2 sheepheads. However, the bite didn't seem to be there. So, I decided to move to the rock groins since the water was pretty calm though slightly off color. It was a good decision because we found a pod of small reds. We had furious action for about 45 minutes catching and releasing 24 reds, the largest being 19 1/2 inches. Regardless, even though we didn't catch a legal red, my friend had a blast and has asked the next time I go out, I take him again.

Great intro for your buddy. I am sure he will be hooked for life! I remember when Flapper took me out wade fishing for the first time 4 years ago throwing S.S.'s. That was it for me, and now I blame my addiction on Jamin!
