More of a whiskey drinker, but like a good glass of wine every now and then. What's y'all opinions on some good quality, fair price wine?

We drink a lot of Spanish wine. Try Borsao, Wrongo Dongo, or Laya. They're between $6-9. Borsao has an 89 wine spectator rating.

Hard to find a poor Australian Shiraz. Lindeman's sucks, but aside from that, I've never had a bad one.

MENAGE A TROIS is a good $10 sweet wine at the grocery stores . Not a dessert wine . It's good .

My wife tries to only buy "Texas" wines. Haak is good. Becker and GrapeCreek are some favorites of ours. We like the reds wines.

Becker iconoclast is a great wine under $10.

I like Pinot Noirs and Cabs. My favorite was Quail Ridge Library about $15/bottle many years ago-I kept one just a little too long and it turned. I had Coppola's Directors Cut cab-think it was a 2008 and it was primo-nice cherry, oak, citrus w/o the smoky or high tannin taste-about $30-40/bottle and one of the better wines I've ever had. It was a winner at the HLRS (Rodeo) Wines.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. I like wines from South America. They are generally reasonable priced and the reds tend to be full flavored but not as bold as some of the American Cabernets.
