Left SSM at 7 with a crew of 4 (fishinaddiction, redfish rob and non member Adam). We slow boated off the shelf not wanting get beaten up by the waves. Cat ran good making 26-29 mph average into the steep head sea. We made our first drop on the LP and had a good strike. We reeled up and thought it was a good tile until it got to about 50' when we saw a decent size yellow edge. We made another pass and dropped again and were rewarded with an even larger yellow. After several more passes with only dogfish we moved to our next spot. We loaded up with tile to 18lbs and landed enough to fill the grocery order. It was getting closer to 3 so we moved to the sword grounds and made a drop. Unfortunately our bait was eaten by a bottom fish and we opted to not make another drop and just head in. Ran 35 the whole way back and made it to SSM around 7:50PM. Fish cleaned, showered and back to the house in Houston by 9:45.
Ran across a good rip near Tequila. I took a pic of coordinates as we crossed it.
