Surf 8/5 am
Met up with some guys at the seawall for some surf action this am. Started catching fish as soon as we stepped in at 5:45am and they never stopped biting. I think we had a bite on almost every cast (except tops) all day. I ended up with 6 keeper specs on top, 1 Blacktip on top, 1 Blacktip on tails and tons of bionic sadies on an assortment of lures. I saw one Smack caught as well as a red, a bunch of whiting and bluefish. Our group probably caught 500 or so fish total, but couldn't find many Specs.
Alex stopped by later on and helped with the sandies and I thought I saw Mike and Donna down from us. Jeremy almost caught a keeper too.
The topwater bite was slow all morning, but had a nice little run when the wind switched around to the S and it got a little choppy.
Fun morning and my arms are tired!
Kept a few for my neighbor.
