Flatoutfishing and myself came up with the bright idea of trying to fish out of our yaks in 15+ mph winds. We loaded them on my skiff at tiki and hit greens. After fighting the winds trying to fish and darn near having a heart attack paddling back to the boat, we decided to drift the skiff instead.
We landed probably close to a limit of trout up to 16" that were released and boxed a lower limit red for the grill. The water was trout green but sandy, 62 degrees, with streaks. Winds were s/e 15 to 20.
I had a good time Monte, thanks for the pointers!
