From a trip a few weeks back. Nothing too special. No sow RS seen while diving, so the surface guys to to fill the limits.
I shot one decent-sized ling, and had another pull off. The real bummer of the trip was getting within 7' of a ~35lb cubera snapper, and completely missing the shot.
Looks like a few practice sessions are in order.
There were several cuda shot ("last call", desperation measures for me at least), and I shot a small grouper they called a "strawberry grouper". These guys were all over the rig legs, and I might bring a small gun and a catch bag to hammer 'em next time because that fish sure was good eating.
