Water was chit....they are out in the middle on the reefs.

Thanks Chip...Been a rough year for me do to the hip I guess. Not bad offshore, but trout wise I've been hurting. Last two times I fished Maty...nothing but reds(25-30)...and small reds at that! WTF

Wind was howling out of the SE and we were pinned to the South shoreline. Decent water over grassy guts seemed to be holding the fish, active bait a must ...manged a few good blowups but NO hookups on tops. Switched over to an amber/chart devil eye paddle tail and scored roughly 10 reds with only 1 being a keeper(23") Also nabbed a couple 15"-16"trout while we were at it. Slow day overall but we did get a few pulls and it didn't rain!
