  • Last two days of redfish punishment.

Yesterday the conditions were brutal but that left me to catch reds with no one around. Me and my buddy Chad landed 30-35 reds. Most were in the 20-24 range with the biggest about 26.

Today the conditions were much nicer and I had company where I got em yesterday. I still landed 8 there but with the boats and difficulty in the wind, I deceived to go looking around for other groups. It paid off well and I got to spend nearly 3 hours alone on some big schools with even bigger fish. Total today was 15 landed with two biggest at 27 and 29. Most of the fish were 22-24. Worst of it was that with the wind blowing the boat so fast, I lost at least as many as I landed because they would run at the boat and make it tough to set the hook.

Two great days of winter redfish!! Almost forgot that the best fish and a couple other nice ones are top waters!!
