I just got a job in League City and have been running down there to take care of living arrangements, etc. I always have at least one pole in the truck.
Made the quick trip to the Dike today around 1 and fished the bottom with some dead shrimp. Started out around 3.5 miles (I caught a behemoth black drum there a couple weeks ago), and after a few minutes reeled in a nice sheepshead.
Lost a few leaders to the deep, so I tried something new (to me) at the end by the gaurdrail.
Free-lined the shrimp on my light spinning combo, and five minutes later I got a fat red at around 27''. My Dad calls and warns me about the weather a few minutes later while I'm rebaiting. As soon as I drop the next bait, all hell breaks loose. It's been a long time since I've seen a downpour like that.
Pictures are on my phone, and I don't have internet on it.
There's no such thing as curses, there's no such thing as curses......
