I'm going to try the south jetty Saturday, May 8, walk the rocks , but bring the kayak too. I'm hoping the NE wind will flatten the surf and not muddy it up...17 mph projected. I may get the kayak past the breakers if it's not rough. If that doesn't pan out, I'll head to SLP,Mud Island, Christmas to check those out and get out of the wind.

I am saving my gas for a perfect day. Last time we went out it was not that good. The finder was solid green all day. It was the worst fishing that I have ever had here on the Texas coast. Gives me more time to maintain the boat.
They like shiny spoons...
