Freeport Near Shore

Took my son and his buddy down kingfish ally trolling to no avail. Went to some near rigs trolling with the same result... Had a half dozen strikes but no hook-ups... Mayby I'm not holding my mouth right. Ended-up at the Freeport jetty and caught some whiting, sand trout and mac with some live shrimp. The boat did run good thanks to Evans Marine... And the boat loaded easy... Thanks Brian!

I was thinking the same thing.... Wish I would have thought harder... On a funnier note we ran into some little finch birds about 8 or 10 miles out. One landed on my pole and eventually walked down the pole and sat on my hand as if to say can you give me a lift to shore.... None the less it was a great day to be on the water with my son
