We went out pretty early with hopes of some pre-daylight topwater action while the moon was overhead. Got to my spot and slid over the side of the boat before 5:00 and started chunkin tops. I only caught one trout on a Spook Jr under the moon before it got daylight. We kept fishing picking up one here and one there. It was not fast action by any means. Moved around a bit and picked up a few more before calling it a day around 10:45am.
Final count was 15 trout and one flounder and we lost a handful of fish that spit the hooks. They were caught on topwaters and worms in 3' over sand/shell. The action seemed slow but we still managed a decent box of fish.
