  • kids & big Flatties

had a party of four today...two brothers a father in law and one of their sons (10)
we had a great morning and had our (November) limits by 9am lots of solid fish
the kid lost a 24" BIG flattie early...and was very good spirited about it...(i had a tear in my eye)
as i watched her spit the hook and slowly swim away....i told him dont worry you will get another big one...
took a while then i heard the unmistakable sound of the Shimano peelin drag.........
another nice fat slab about 22"...went just west of the causeway drifted some shell with live bait
in the same area i caught em last Sat. but couldnt find em today...Lunch was on my clients mind with a nice box of flatties aboard so back to the ramp....Fun Day
    Take a KID Fishing.....

                Nice.

That feeling you have when a big fish calmly flutters away after releasing itself is too much for words.

It is neat the way children seem to be less effected by it. Its almost like they are out there for a different reason.

WTG!! And i know how you feel you feel. I had a huge flounder on the end of my line today but spit the hook before i even saw it. I also had tears in my eyes.
